Adaptation and restoration of the Church of Saint Peter and the Abbatial Palace of the Monastery

Sant Cugat

The Church of Saint Peter of the Monastery of Sant Cugat, declared a Cultural Heritage Site of National Interest. Romanesque construction begun in the 9th century. Adaptation of the lighting and furniture of the basilica’s interior, installation of underfloor heating, and laying of new paving. Restoration of the sacristy cabinet and relocation of the altarpiece.

The Abbatial Palace of the Monastery of Sant Cugat, declared a Cultural Heritage Site of National Interest. Originally built in the 14th century and rebuilt in the 18th century. Recovery and restoration of the genuine architectural elements of the 14th-century building, which incorporated remains of the towers and walls surrounding the abbey, as well as features of the Catalan manor house style from the 17th and 18th centuries added during the later reconstruction. Adaptation of the spaces to the new functional program, combining the rector’s residence with areas for social services.
